The IVS2 series visibility detection sensor operates by measuring the attenuation coefficient of the atmosphere and determining the visual range of the environment. Utilizing a transmitter-receiver setup, where a light beam with a wavelength of 550 nm is transmitted and received, the device calculates the energy received. This process allows for the measurement of the attenuation coefficient or, in simpler terms, the visibility of the surroundings. Additionally, the ECG1 series equipment is equipped with electrochemical sensors capable of measuring NO2 and CO gas levels in the environment.
The IVS2 series excels in accuracy, offering precise field-of-view measurements within a range of 10 meters to 10 kilometers.
