Description

Open channel flowmeters are vital instruments used to measure surface parameters, discharge, and total water volume in applications involving overflows, flumes, and open channels. These advanced flowmeters offer precise measurements of instantaneous and total flow without the need for direct contact with the fluid. Based on the existing structure, they are categorized into two types: Parshall Flume and Weir. These devices find extensive use in diverse areas, including sewage flow measurement, studies of infiltrated water, determining the output water flow of dams and canals in the irrigation and agricultural industry, and more.
In this system, the instantaneous discharge can be accurately calculated by applying standard formulas used for open channels. The FLT94 series ultrasonic flowmeters receive essential data from the UCS3 series ultrasonic level gauge via RS485 transmission of the sensor. By utilizing specific coefficients defined for the channel’s type and dimensions, the flow rate of the fluid passing through the channel is precisely determined. The graphic display of the device provides real-time information on fluid level, flow rate, flow volume, ambient temperature, and total daily flow rate. Furthermore, the flowmeter offers various standard outputs, including 4-20mA, Relay, NPN switch, digital, and RS485, enabling the control of flow level and fluid level with ease.

– Adjusting the sensor parameters such as the sampling distance, the number of sent pulses, the transmission power and also adjusting the coefficients related to the channel.
